In all fairness, he said that when he was just trying to gin up support for gun control by blaming Sarah Palin for Gabby Giffords being shot in the face by a brain damaged, Marxist kook who was being protected by a leftist Sheriff. The ends justifies the means with Marxists, even if they have to twist facts 180 degrees out of phase with reality.
