In 2006, Georgia Republican and Senate hopeful David Perdue said that the way to the large number of unemployed Americans needed to be dealt with at a “federal level” and could not be left to the states.

At a meeting of the Retail Industry Leaders Association in 2006, Perdue, then the CEO of Dollar General, lamented the high number of uninsured people, the Dallas Morning News and Retailing Today reported at the time.

“It’s a tragedy that so many people are uninsured,” Perdue said of health insurance, according to a Dallas Morning News article from Oct. 17, 2006.

I don't know a lot about Georgia politics but this guy sounds like he just loves big government programs. ANYBODY that thinks the government can do any large entitlement well doesn't deserve to be elected IMO. Hopefully he has changed since 2006 but who knows... How about it Georgia Freepers?

It’s simply amazing how a politician, an R one at that, can demonstrate with less than a half-dozen words, how completely clueless they are to Article I Section 8, limited federal government, states rights, reserved to the people rights, and federalism.

If CEO were king for the day, they will be more then happy to dump healthcare costs on the taxpayers. They want to be in the business of making money and paying people, not managing paperwork for health insurance and etc etc etc. Don’t be surprise that many GOP will not repeal ACA but modify it so big business and Chamber of Commerce are happy with it. Healthcare and Large Insurance love ACA. They will not support repeal unless it comes with a bailout to cover the anticipated profits they could have made if the ACA website was not such a disaster.

The Taxed Enough Already Party is the first serious threat to the parasitic hold that Professional Politicians in “both” political parties have on those of us who are Taxed Enough Already.

The Professional Politicians in “both” political parties have been uniting to suppress us since November, 2010.

The Democrats have been, and continue to, suppress us through the brute force of the IRS, DOJ, NSA, and other Gestapo-Style Federal Agencies that we are forced to finance.

The RINOs are suppressing us by their Public statements and critical cave-in votes to Democrats.

Thus, the RINOs and Democrats have united against us.

Fair enough: BRING IT !

_______________________________

Both the RINOs and the Democrats have Professional Politicians who are dependent on their ability to control those of us who still pay Personal Federal Income Taxes, in order to continue to be on our payroll.

What better way to control us than to make us slaves to them who are the masters of us?

“Both” Political Parties in our current Communal Federal Government understand that the purpose of naming a Master/Slave Federal Government Program an “Entitlement” is to deceive the enslaved population into believing that becoming slaves to a Master is something to be desired, and thus reduce the probability of a slave rebellion.

The Master/Slave Entitlement of Obamacare is the most Communal of all of the Federal Government Master/Slave Entitlement Programs, because it can legally collect monies and/or property after death of the Entitled Slave, or from their surviving family members.

FORWARD, the RINOcare RINOS!

FORWARD, the Obamacare Democrats!!

FORWARD !

Yes, I’ve watched his video. My first impression was that he is another Mitt Romney. He is a successful businessman and he seems like a great guy - obviously capable - but I’d most likely never vote for him as I don’t trust him. He seems too pragmatic with no real core values other than what it takes to get ahead in business.

All the noise from the GOPe about Obamacare is so that they can win an election to modify it, not abandon it.

Before Obamacare’s national disaster of dumping health insurance costs onto consumers there was the Romneycare disaster of dumping higher health insurance rates onto the people of Massachusetts.

The states have never delagated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to address the needs of the unemployed. So since Mr. Perdue wants the feds to assist the unemployed then he needs to do the following.

Mr. Perdue needs to work with state and federal lawmakers to propose an amendment to the Constitution to the states which would grant Congress the specific power to establish an insurance program for the unemployed. And if the states choose to ratify such an amendment then Congress will have this power and Mr. Perdue will be a hero.

ANYBODY that thinks the government can do any large entitlement well doesn't deserve to be elected IMO.

Ain't that the truth?

And they especially don't deserve to be elected on a GOP ticket from a conservative state.

Every lib loves to tell you that ObamaoCare is just like medicare or social security: people will eventually love it once you give them a chance. Now those are two programs which are remarkable for their financial sustainability, aren't they? < / sarcasm >

A solution at the FEDERAL level doesn’t mean a FEDERAL program.

Did he mean the federal government must relinquish its own power? Did he mean federal bureaucracies need to be trimmed back so that regulation doesn’t destroy the doctor-patient relationship?

Using the word “federal” isn’t evil...look at what the guy MEANT before bashing him. :)

“federal level” means take from the productive and give to the slackers.
