“Admiring” is also not quite the right word. “Cheering” is not, period. It’s more of a standoff situation. Blink and you lose. Well, not us; we can blink from time to time, but that’s not the point. The point is, right now, not understanding everyone in the conflict’s strengths and weaknesses is only a disadvantage. It would not be the best strategy to say “don’t look at him, he could entice you to evil”.
I don’t know if that’s possible, but the best course of action would require the maturity to be able to say “yes, he successfully does that and that and that” and not thinking the one who says so is either an idiot or a communist shill just for noticing. Specially because that phrase has to be followed with “Now, how do we stop him?”
