students who came study to then took jobs... Not all. Many are gainfully employed, projects involving pressure cookers. Who pays them? Various public agencies, SNAP, Section-8 Housing, etc...

Not to mention the technology drain and thievery that goes on sending our technology back to our competitors so they can compete with us without the sacrifice of research.

Several years ago we had two Chinese employees that my company hired out of college. One day the FBI came and took the poor darlings away. They were working for the Chinese army the whole time and funneling sensitive research to China by the boatload. We were told by our management not to discuss it.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement doesn’t even consistently collect information or have the tools to monitor all of the foreign students who take part in the optional practical training (OPT) program, the Government Accountability Office said in a new report released late Friday.
