Between 1890 and 1913 the Gross National Product grew 4 times.
Coal extraction grew 5 times, pig iron production - 4 times, copper and manganese 5 times.
Capital investment in machine building increased 80%.
The cumulative length of railroads and telegraph lines doubled.
The river fleet was the largest int he world to begin with and doubled in tonnage.
Industry was being mechanized. In the period between 1908 to 1913 the growth of industrial productivity was ahead of USA, England and Germany. In the economic crisis of 1911-1912 Russia was the only country that grew.
Mandatory elementary education was established in 1908. In 1916 the country had 80% literacy rate. Total taxation per capita in 1913 was 2 times less than in France and Germany and 4 times less than England. The wages of industrial workers exceeded in real terms the European wages but were behind the American industrial wage.
