How do they find so many totally corrupt people? Are there any honest people left?

Yes, but don’t look for them in politics. If you had to give it a number, what percentage of politicians do you think are actually trustworthy?
I am so cynical at this point that I think the vast majority of politicians would sell out just about anyone if it were necessary to keep their power. They would rationalize it, though - “I must stay in power in order to do the most good”.
The ability of all of us to rationalize our shortcomings and bad behaviors is astounding. I think it’s much better to not rationalize, and live with regret for what you’re not proud of, vs. being happy with yourself by not being honest with yourself. I’m sure I’ve done it though, more than I’d want to admit to myself. It’s all a very slippery slope.
