NOT THE ONION!

The WaPo Editorial Board may have declared Barry’s foreign policy to be based on fantasy, but itty-bitty enrollment participation is “proof that the (ACA) is working”...

Well, that was certainly worth destroying 1/6 of the US economy...

15.9% uninsured in a country of ~300 million = 47.7 million without insurance. WHICH IS PRECISELY THE NUMBER OF UNINSURED BEFORE DEATHCARE.

Put another way, we will spend trillions to get new health insurance policies PLUS trillions more to administer a program that accomplishes NOTHING and provides insurance to NOBODY.

Welcome to Acirema. Is your flag upside down yet?

The big headline from the report: 15.9 percent of adults are now uninsured, down from 17.1 percent at the end of 2013.

And how much has it cost us to make a "dent" in the uninsured population?

How many biolions of dollars have been spent on the still incomplete healthcare.gov website, all the state websites which were built with federal grants (some of which still don't work)? How many billions spent on advertising? How many billions spent on training "navigators"?

How many billions spent on subsidies? <

To which, one might ask, how much would it have cost to simply pay the premiums on health insurance policies for the uninsured?

But that was never the point, was it?

That’s a gain in insured of 1.2%.

But that figure doesn’t take into account the millions that have lost their insurance because of Obama/DNC care.

To paraphrase an old Carlin bit, “If you have sh*t, you will probably get health insurance, so that you can hang on to your sh*t if something happens. If you don’t have sh*t you probably don’t want it unless you can get it free. Free sh*t is great.

So, in other words, after spending hundreds of billions of dollars, cancelling 6 million existing polices (with another 50-90 million cancellations to come), driving insurance rates up 40% or more for the average person, increasing the average out-of-pocket by 300%, narrowing provider networks to smaller than Medicaid-quality networks, wih most people losing their current doctors despite at least 34 blatant lies to the contrary by Obama and repetition of the same lie by the Democrats voted for this horror, with Harry Reid declaring from the well of the Senate that EVERYONE who claimed obamacare was a personal negative for their health care is a liar, totally disrupting the entire medical care system and taking over the central management of 1/6 of the the U.S. economy, obamacare has barely moved the needle on the number of uninsured, the primary announced goal of obamacare.

Yep, that sounds about right. For a Democrat/Progressive/Socialist big-government centrally planned program, that is.

Is the formula unchanged from the referenced previous report? If there is one thing this criminal organization excels at it is changing formulae to make results look better than they really are, e.g., unemployment rate.

Those .5 to 1.2% changes could be within the normal year-to-year variability ... did anyone ask?

Hardly worth crowing about since this entire healthcare “reform” debacle was motivated by an original uninsured rate of only about 15%......
