With a libertarian candidate that took 8000 votes (10.%)

I think I saw on Fox News tonight that this was a bell weather election...

The MSM won't see it as a 'bell weather' - it never is when a Republican wins. That said, it's pretty amazing - and might be a bell weather election.

We’ll that depends, according to the MSM if Sink wins it is a bell weather election, if she loses it is a local election and has nothing to do with national politics.....

Much too close considering that Alex Sink backs Obamacare and this has been a solid republican seat for over 40 years.

The liberal media was touting this race all day as a referendum on Obamacare and the democrats chances in November (because the final polls had Sink (D) ahead by 3 points and they thought it was in the bag). I bet the story will suddenly disappear or the election will now mean nothing...

But Obama actually won the district in 2012, so it was by no means a Republican stronghold...

It's "bellwether," guys. Not trying to be snarky here. It's a common and understandable mistake.

So what does this say about polls? They’ve consistently had Sink ahead by 7 to 9 pts. I’m thinking the polls are part of the propaganda “Bandwagon” technique, to make everyone think it’s a done deal and they should join the crowd.

That is the whole of it, even if the media spent weeks or months building up the race as a “bell weather” election, they will go silent if the result is wrong.

With the amount of money the dems put into this race...

They have no legal leg to stand on since the vote was not close enough...

They will sue for a recount...because several precincts had no votes at all...

Bonher, Rove, and the rest of the GOPe aren't happy either..

Jolly is a tea party type candidate

Good but meaningless in a “it means something” kinda way. Talk to me in November if we keep the seat.

The MSM won't see it as a 'bell weather' - it never is when a Republican wins.

Democrat wins by 2% - "It's a Mandate !!!" Republican wins by 2% "It's a squeaker with no wider implications."

“Much too close considering that Alex Sink backs Obamacare and this has been a solid republican seat for over 40 years”

Libertarian Candidate is the issue, it seems we are running against a Socialist Rat, and a Ross Perot split the vote candidate in all races at this point.

Like it or not, a Paul /Cruz ticket may be our best chance to win in 2016, if they ever kiss and make up.

And if 6k of those 8k votes went to the Dem instead, you’d be singing a different tune right now.

You are probably right.

Although yesterday the leftie media was pushing it as just that (the polls heading into the election had Sink several points up).

This morning I saw even the clowns on MSNBC backing off their optimistic claims for sink, yet they were still calling Jolly "flawed" and Sink "a skilled campaigner".

This seems remarkable to me, and very good news---even if Jolly is "flawed".

It can only bode well for our candidates who are not nearly so "flawed".

I assume this is an election for a vacancy — does Jolly have to re-run in November?

Yes, they are shameless, they lie, they cheat, they steal and they do not quit so expect the democrats to take as many bites out of the vote fraud apple as necessary to overturn the results.
