Whose “Recognition” Does Israel Really Need?

I couldn’t care less if anyone recognizes me as Ronn Torossian. You can call me Donald Duck, Yoga, or anything else, and if you recognize my right to live as Ronn Torossian, it couldn’t matter less to me. I am, therefore, I exist. I live in the real world, even in a world where others may think aliens are occupying Earth.
The rant above is necessary, because of the ongoing debate about the need to recognize Israels right to exist as a Jewish State. By way of reference, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said this week there is “no way” he will recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Meanwhile, Israels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on the importance of the Palestinians recognizing Israel as a Jewish state.
And some foolishly think it matters if a piece of paper recognizes Israels right to exist? The Jewish right to exist in Israel needs the recognition of the Palestinian Authority? Or America? Clearly, the Arabs seek to destroy Israel piece by piece using peace, so every negotiating tactic works, but if the Palestinians miraculously decide to pursue a real peace and recognize Israel, I, for one, couldn’t care less.
Israel’s right to exist is the right of the Jewish people because the land is our land. For so many reasons and whether someone recognizes it or not is irrelevant.
In a brilliant 1977 speech in the Israeli Parliament, Prime Minister Menachem Begin gave a rousing speech in which he said,
Our right to exist have you ever heard of such a thing? Would it enter the mind of any Briton or Frenchman, Belgian or Dutchman, Hungarian or Bulgarian, Russian or American, to request for its people recognition of its right to exist?
… We were granted our right to exist by the God of our fathers at the glimmer of the dawn of human civilization four thousand years ago. Hence, the Jewish people have an historic, eternal and inalienable right to exist in this land, Eretz Yisrael, the land of our forefathers. We need nobodys recognition in asserting this inalienable right. And for this inalienable right, which has been sanctified in Jewish blood from generation to generation, we have paid a price unexampled in the annals of nations.
Because our Jewish state needs no American affirmation of our right to exist. Our Hebrew bible established that right millennia ago. Never, throughout the centuries, did we ever abandon or forfeit that right. Therefore, sir, we alone, the Jewish people no one else are responsible for our countrys right to exist.
Later, in 1977 there was an exchange between Prime Minister Begin and then American President Jimmy Carter in the White House. At the end of the meeting, Carter handed a document summarizing their meeting to Begin and asked for his approval to disseminate the short document. Begin read the very brief text and responded, “Totally acceptable, Mr. President, but for one sentence – Please delete the sentence which reads, ‘The United States affirms Israel’s inherent right to exist.’” Carter, who asked, But why? was told by Begin, Because our Jewish state needs no American affirmation of our right to exist. Our Hebrew Bible established that right millennia ago. Never, throughout the centuries, did we ever abandon or forfeit that right. Therefore, sir, we alone, the Jewish people – no one else – are responsible for our country’s right to exist.”
Throughout history, it has been constant that the Jewish people have the right to exist, and require no ones approval. While a piece of paper can be broken or renegotiated, what can never be broken is the Jewish commitment and right to the Land and State of Israel.
Israel is the Jewish State, and Palestinian Arabs and America do not need to recognize Israel as such. For, whether the world likes it or not, it is the case and will not change.

Don’t miss Jamie Glazov’s video interview with Mudar Zahran, a leader of Palestinians in Jordan who has been living in exile in the UK since 2010. He calls out John Kerry on the “Peace” Plan and asks why a U.S. Secretary of State is threatening Israel to commit suicide:
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Israel doesn’t need recognition any more than the United States needs recognition...
Israel needs nations who will do business with them as trading partners. Like or dislike is much less important than honest commerce. Israel needs and wants trading partners. This is why the commies always try to organize anti-Israel boycotts
That undeniable fact being said, it leaves us with a problem. If one entity does not recognize another entity's right to exist, that entity views the second entity as being illegitimate and having no rights.
The Muslims do recognize Jews, but only as an enemy of their religion. They also view Christians as enemies. Both groups in their view are to be destroyed if Jews and Christians don't bow down to their god. The primary problem is that Jews and Christians worship the same creator G_d, Yahweh, and thus are enemies of the moon god Allah.
The Arabs know that the Jewish entity existed as a nation long before Arabs went out and conquered large sections of the globe in the name of their god.
There were large groups of Jews living and thriving in the Arabian peninsula before Mohammad was born. The cities of Mecca and Medina had very large Jewish populations according to the Arab's own history. Mohammad tried to pass himself off as the Messiah. When Jews and Christians told him to go fly a kite, he reacted. He eventually destroyed, converted, or exiled all Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula
When rejected, Mohammad told his followers to turn around and bow toward Mecca, instead of toward Jerusalem, where they had been bowing. This is part of the Muslim written history. Where did these Jews and Christians come from except as a scattering after Rome destroyed Jerusalem.
Yes,there is a struggle that has gone on for thousand of years. Might does not make Right. Ishmael(Islam), has found that despite their power, and great conquests, that Yahweh G_d has thwarted their plans done in the name of Allah, and fulfilled His Word, to reestablish Israel as a nation.
Israel rose and established itself in that desolate, destroyed land from which they were expelled by Rome. G_d caused them to become prosperous. Islam, because it views itself as a replacement, has fought continually against the Jew. When Yahweh G_d went ahead and did what He had ordained, Islam struck out to destroy the apple of Yahweh G_d’s eye, and prove the Bible wrong. When thwarted, Islam has lied, deceived, and pleaded with the nations of the world and turned its force against the Christian West.
Within Muslim nations there are laws forbidding Christians and Jews from using the name Allah. They themselves recognize that they worship a different god and not the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. We are seeing a change in the Middle East. Christians in that area, are finally coming to the realization, despite Muslim and Palestinian propaganda, that that Jews and Christians both have a common enemy. There will be no peace, because to Islam recognition of Israel, is to deny that Islam is superior to all faiths. This despite the Koran stating that Israel belongs to the Jews. They in their hatred denied the words of their own faith.
