Daily Mail ^ | March 12, 2014

Russia could launch a 'full scale' invasion that would see troops overrun Ukraine in hours, a senior security official warned today.

The secretary of Ukraine's National Security and National Defence Committee Andriy Parubiy claimed Russia has 80,000 troops, 280 tanks and 170 aircraft massed on the border ready to invade.

'They are adding to this military potential,' he said. 'We have a critical situation on the entire southeastern border. The Russian army is only two to three hours from Kiev.'

Ukraine's defences would be incapable in the face of a Russian invasion, he said.

I believe if push comes to shove now or down the pike years from now...if the EU/Nato/US and the Global Elites push Putin far enough....he’ll go after Israel...and that will be his downfall....but he will recover in time.

“Putin’s done with talking at this point...His Ambassador knew ahead of time that they’d have nothing more to say to Kerry in this recent meeting.....Kerry finally got it.”

“If Putin gets Crimea back for Russia without bloodshed, he will be a great historical figure in our country and there’s nothing anyone can do about that,” wrote the journalist Ksenia Sobchak, who is usually opposed to Putin’s policy.

One has to understand that for Russian people Crimea’s role in two huge conflicts - in the Crimean War in 1860 and the World War Two - is the symbol of heroic struggle against invading foreign powers.

As a Crimea resident, who intends to vote Yes in the referendum, said yesterday: “Every square centimeter of Sevastopol is drenched in Russian blood. Many Russian soldiers died for this land. How can we let Ukraine ruin it?”

My concern is Obama’s not about to let Putin gain any of the glory after the slap in the face over Syria....but he may have to take it anyway...

The oligarchs with the money..business and corporations do not want this to be a war zone and much pressure on the players to calm the waters in Ukraine.....I think Putin has Cremia ...period..and likely what Putin wanted to begin with.

Kruscheve said, after the Cuban missile crisis, that he would have never gone to war over Cuba....his objective was to get the missiles out of Turkey we had there..and that was the ultimate deal for him to back off. Might be Putin will settle for Crimea....but too soon to tell....he's seriously looking at Eastern and Western Ukraine and may go for the Gold.

I am so bothered by all this, caww. Everyone on this site is aware of the freedoms that we have lost in our country. We have the IRS going after people for their beliefs. We no longer control our own medical care. We have become what we hate the most. Just how do we differ from those we used to consider the enemy? Cold War? They have won. We are becoming them, yet there are still those that think the US is still a moral nation. We, who pressure others to accept our so called values. All values perverse and immoral now. We are slowly accepting Agenda 21. We are giving away our country to this NWO sickness.

The only reason there is a fight for Ukraine is power and control by evil entities involved in the struggle. No good is going to come from this for anyone.

You continue to make assumptions of what’s being stated....guess we’re done then..and I’m sorry to say that...but I won’t dialogue with you on this matter now.

...”Just how do we differ from those we used to consider the enemy?”....

That’s exactly what the foreign nationalists are saying...that we have become worse than some of them. We meddle in affairs not our own...we intimidate etc....but it’s hidden from the American people.

We kill babies and sanction homosexual behavior, allow criminals to go free while depriving people of justice. That the USA has become a “playground” of sillyness and stupidity.

Frankly they are right....what’s difficult is when people hear Putin, he definately does what he says, when he can sound more sensible then our leaders????

The idea that the US can be principled by the wrong doing of one nation/leaders.... and have no principles about the wrong doing of another...clearly suggests that the US hasn’t any principles...meaning our Gov. no longer operates so on the World Stage.

Seeing this happen literally makes me physically ill. After watching Egypt and Libya I know that we are on a very dangerous course. The US is now being run by those that are no longer working for the interests of the American people, they are working for the global cabal and we are just pawns. They have stolen our freedom and our livelihoods.

We have lost our country and we do nothing but put our hopes in elections that are no longer determined by voters.

Geesh, I wonder what is really going on with this missing plane? We used to be good guys, but I no longer believe we are. We are controlled by master manipulators.

“People need to wake up and see what is really going on here. Victoria Nuland is a snake.”

As Robert English, director of the School of International Relations at the University of Southern California, said:

“Given our own hypocrisy — don’t violate agreements (except the one not to expand NATO eastward), don’t invade countries on phony pretexts (except Iraq) and don’t support minority secession movements (except Kosovo) — why wouldn’t we want to restore U.S. credibility by living up to our principles in this (Ukraine) critical case?”

“You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth!”

I can and I do :-)

Joking aside, how can the West accomodate itself with the trampling of its own principles?

The European Parliament in 2012 condemned the Ukrainian socialist-national party Svoboda’s racism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia as “against the EU’s fundamental values and principles”.

One year later, the EU and US support an unelected power and government in Ukraine, in which the same Svoboda party holds five key positions, including the vice-prime minister, minister of defence and prosecutor general!!!

Svoboda called to abolish the autonomy of Crimea, pushed for the parliamentary vote that abolished the Russian language as official regional language, provocative to Ukraine’s 15 millions (one third of the total population) ethnic Russians; these were the first steps of the West supported government in Ukraine, and the US and EU have nothing to say about that?

How do Obama and Merkel spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y?

That's exactly right....

The principle of 'National Sovereignty' should be foremost...but of course Obama, Congress, no longer consider what the people think....nor the Constitution reads...they're no longer abiding by it or any rules but making their own as they go

This is interesting...

” Putin’s Actions and the Future of War”

References to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Crimea as some sort of “19th-century behavior” misjudge the enormity of recent events. .....He hasn’t miscalculated;......... “Putin is redefining 21st-century warfare.”

Putin is no longer bound by the constraints of nation-state warfare..... Years of confrontations with separatists, militants, terrorists and stateless actors influenced his thinking. ......In Crimea, Putin debuted a pop-up war — nimble and covert — that is likely to be the design of the future.

Putin moved into Crimea partly because it was a low-stakes way to test out his new warfare. Home to significant Russian military assets and a somewhat sympathetic population, Crimea is geographically isolated from the rest of Ukraine; Putin could confidently predict that there would be no physical response to his invasion by a globally exhausted West.

For years, Putin relied on the heavy, Soviet-style hammer. His recent actions suggest that traditional military and intelligence are no longer the means by which he feels he has to fight. While the West is focusing on the best response to his recent steps, Putin is most likely on to the next stages: determining which, if any, international protocols apply to his actions and how his tactics can be used elsewhere.

It’s time to give up the decadent belief that continental wars are over. Going forward, the terms by which the world is playing are Putin’s — a reality we all must recognize and for which we need an effective response.

Just imagine the conversation:

(Phone rings)

Putin: Hello?

Obama: “It’s me again President Putin. I demand you remove your troops from Crimea.”

Putin: “President Obama, remove your military base from Guantanamo in Cuba.”

Obama: “What happens in the Western Hemisphere stays in the Western Hemisphere. It’s none of your business.”

Putin: “What happens in the Eastern Hemisphere stays in the Eastern Hemisphere. It’s none of your business.”

Obama: “But France and Germany say ...”

Putin: “France, Germany, pfft. With Germany we’d been there, done that, remember 1941-45? Is momma Merkel sure to go there again?”

Obama: “Well, I draw the red line, too bad you ignore it.”

Putin: “Oh, no, red lines, and more red lines, what are you, a communist? Ha!” (Click.)

I watched a slow motion video on that ....the Pro-Ukraines were armed with knives clearly and were ready to rumble and what they came their for.

I've watched several videos on the matter and have read reports by reporters on the ground who witnessed it. None characterize it as you have. In Donetsk, those Pro-Ukranians men in black masks with bats and gas sprays

The only people with bats and gas sprays were the Kremlin stooges bused in from Moscow:

"A Western official, citing secret intelligence reports, said that thousands of Russian citizens were being bused into Donetsk and other eastern Ukrainian cities under the supervision of Russian intelligence officers."

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/15/world/europe/rumors-mushroom-in-eastern-ukraine-fueling-expectations-of-war.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&smid=tw-nytimesworld

If you have evidence of the Pro-Ukrainians there being armed, which I saw none in any of the videos I saw, from different perspectives, and which no journalist reported on, then please provide it.

I accurately described your attempts at justifying murder. What else can be said when you are here telling me that the Ukrainians were armed with bats, knives and sprays, when the video clearly shows people huddled in a circle behind a police line when "Pro-Russians," described by locals as Russian Federation citizens, storm through and stab someone to death? And you expect me to believe that, in slow motion, you saw someone on the Ukrainian side holding a knife, as the agent provocateurs of the Russkies dived into the crowd swinging? None of this you mention, or acknowledge, but continue to attempt to paint these people as Nazis who DESERVED to die.

I will NOT be shy when dealing with such blatant delusion. This is why the conservative movement is so pathetic. Easily conned by whoever shows up, whether it is a Romney, a Rubio, or a Russian Czar.

By the way, I recognize your talking points straight from the Russian media, so don't mess with me with this stupid stuff about being "objective." This is blatant propaganda selling! If you are objective, take neither side, and do not excuse violence!

Ok Freepers...I’m being called basically a liar....now here’s the video....It’s a Pro-Russian Rally and those bused in were from Luv with the intent of rumbling....note how they stay tightly huddled once the camera’s roll....they went there to stage this...you wanted proof GPH..here ya go...

...starting the video you will soon see the Pro-Ukrainians begin to huddle in a group in front of the buses....at the front are three guys, watch the hands of the second guy in white mask and tan cap..he has a knife in his hand...he lunges out at a demonstrator...O.51....then back... and moves the knife to his other hand O.52 and 0.53...almost looks like his friend next to him might have taken it, but that part isn’t clear.

So what do you see?..... You have to freeze frame it to see as it moves fast. I haven’t found the slow motion video which I should have kept...hopefully I’ll come across it again.

The point GPH is they were not the peaceful thugs you claim...on either side!

Thanks for the video.
It’s obvious that the pro-Maidan guys arrived in Donetsk by bus, and that they were not local residents of the city. They showed up at a peaceful demonstration and created chaos. Why were they wearing masks (at the beginning of the video) ? Because they were all equipped with gas sprays.

You only reveal your own desperation to justify the subsequent murder. Your video doesn’t even begin at the start of the protest, which actually began as two separated protests with flag waving. Right away, the Ukrainians were having to dodge objects being lobbed from the other side. There is no evidence for your claim that Ukrainians were being violent. Hence why even the Swedes were lamenting the “Thugs” on Moscow’s side after this assault, which isn’t even the first time there has been an attack of this nature. BTW, as is obvious, your video begins as a group is already being mobbed by the Agents of Moscow, just before they finish backing into a new police line.
