KUALA LUMPUR—Malaysian aviation officials said Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 could have flown for several hours despite vanishing from radar, but they said they had received no engine-monitoring data indicating this, saying that the data for suggesting an extended flight didn't exist.

Its my understanding the engine data is sent to Boeing and Rolls Royce. You would think, given the event with this plane, that Boeing and Rolls Royce would be sharing information and working together.

I.m picking up pieces here and there that it landed in new reports. Which i.ve always believed due to no wreckage.

PILOTS on a Boeing 777 from Perth to Kuala Lumpur battled to gain control of the plane last month after an unknown computer error caused the aircraft to pitch violently and brought it close to stalling.
A flight attendant dropped a tray of drinks and another began praying as the Malaysian Airlines pilots fought to counter false information being fed into the aircraft’s autopilot system and primary flight display.
The glitch prompted plane manufacturer Boeing to issue a global notice to all 777 operators alerting them to the problem.
Flight MH124 was about an hour out of Perth when the aircraft began behaving erratically. The incorrect data from a supposedly fail-safe device caused the plane to pitch up and climb 3000ft (914m), cutting its indicated airspeed from 500km/h to 292km/h and activating a stall warning and a “stickshaker”.
A stickshaker vibrates the aircraft’s controls to warn the pilot he is approaching a speed at which the plane will have insufficient lift to keep flying
Why say no evidence exists to indicate that the plane flew on, but then go on to say that the plane "may have flown on"?

Agree, much of the truth is probably known. Here’s an article from a source recommended by one of the comments on the WSJ article that tells about passengers on the plane and why they were valuable to Chinese technology interests and other countries’ too. IOW, a hijacker wanted the talent. Possibly, possibly not. It would take a lot of organizing and personal information to coordinate stealing a planeload of valuable techies.
The idea that a pilot can turn off the transponder needs to be examined.
There is no reason to be able to operate a large airliner, anonymously.

I would be more inclined to believe Iran is the one that has stolen the plane and mostly for a combination of using the tech skilled passengers, AND the use of possibly turning this plane into a nuclear launch platform.
