I don’t see how they would let this perp off. The Capital Murder may be hard to stick to him and they will instead stack the murder and assault charges and sentence him to 500 years.
Since I live in Travis county, I’d love to be on the jury. I’d make sure this guy gets the needle. I’d volunteer to be the foreman of the jury and make notes during the entire hearing as well.
The reason I said what I did in my previous post is that we’ve had some people with as many as six previous DUIs and the jury gave them probation. It this had been in Williamson county, the could bet he gets the needle.
