Fundraising appeals, on both sides of the aisle, generally accept the notion that fear of loss is stronger than desire for gain. This is why most solicitations make a case for the bad things that might happen, to the recipient, if a donation ISN’T made.

The second strongest appeal of course, requests funds in order that good things might happen FOR THE RECIPIENT.

This one is different. It’s all about HIM, and the “still have my back” phrase reveals desperation. It’s almost like a request for a legal defense fund.

Interesting in the extreme. I think Obama is asking for protection not from evil Republicans, but against those WITHIN THE PARTY who have now aligned against him, after all, he is taking the whole party down with him.

Pass the popcorn.......
