FBI agents working alongside Utah state prosecutors in a wide-ranging corruption investigation have uncovered accusations of wrongdoing by two of the U.S. Senate’s most prominent figures — Majority Leader Harry Reid and rising Republican Sen. Mike Lee — but the Justice Department has thwarted their bid to launch a full federal investigation.

This administration is recording everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Not to say they are looking at it but when someone becomes a person of interest, a name is typed, a button is pushed and every piece of information is filtered for ‘useful’ items. This must sure make it easy to silence a reporter, get a politician or judge to vote in a way that is out of character, etc.
Computers can filter ALL sites your computer as ever visited for one that might embarrass you. Cell phone and cameras can track your exact location to the meter and by the second for the last 10 years. Your location and communication devices can be crosschecked with other people of interest for ‘guilt by association’. EVERY check you have EVER written, even the ones the banks claim to have discarded, can be picked through by computer for ‘interesting’ purchases that might embarrass you or leave you (or a loved one) open to a threat of a felony charge. All at the fingertips of the wrong people within minutes of a search command.
I swear it is Beria's wet dream!

When I think of Harry Reid, this image from The Godfather comes to mind:

I was under the impression that that character in the book was based on Harry Reid, just as Moe Green was based on Bugsy Seigal and the crooner was depicting Ol’ Blue Eyes..

I was trying to read through this, going into each link that let to more links. This is all I could find.

In a February 2010 email recovered from Swallow’s crashed hard drive, which the committee obtained this month, Swallow asked then-Attorney General Mark Shurtleff: “can i [sic] introduce Mike Lee to Jeremy Johnson?” Shurtleff responded: “Sure.”

By June of that year, Johnson had apparently arranged for thousands of dollars of contributions to Lee’s campaign. In an email that month, Swallow notified Johnson that checks to the Lee campaign from four of Johnson’s associates — which the report said totaled $9,600 — had bounced. Swallow forwarded the exchange to the Lee campaign, a suggestion, the report said, that Swallow was coordinating his efforts with the candidate’s campaign.

The checks bounced, so did Lee actually get any campaign money? I did read yesterday that he bought a house, then sold it to someone, lost money on it....that was hard to follow.

Can’t help but think this is a set up because they are angry obamas losing the public. If we don’t stop o he will have republicans investigated for hate crimes because they read the bible.

Nevada is what it is, gambing and prostitution, period. What do you think you get as a politician there, a minister?

Harry Reid is a member of the Melchizedek Priesthood, and a temple Mormon.

Reid is among the most devout and devoted Mormons, he is a Temple Mormon like Romney is, and probably Lee is, that means they are investigated every two years, and issued annual ID and are members of, not the normal Mormon church, but the inner, more secret Mormon religion practiced inside of the grand temples, which average Mormons are forbidden to enter.
