As the Venezuelan government continues to violently crack down on protesters, the credibility of Maduro’s regime hangs in the balance. The world has been watching Venezuela, as well as both Ukraine and Thailand, during these difficult political times Maduro’s government has been accused of human rights violations by the U.N. and over half the 1World voters on the ground in the three embattled countries around the world (Ukraine, Venezuela and Thailand) feel unsafe in their country. To make matters worse, 30% feel the domestic media coverage of the unrest is inaccurate and 50% think the coverage has been mixed.

I’m sorry, but I hope Venezuela stays in the grips of the Chavistas for another 30 years, and I hope they turn the country into another North Korea.
It would be a great example to everyone else in South America, and the world, to have another living example of socialist politics in action. It will actually help other countries avoid their fate.
Hugo Chavez and his group were not invaders, they did not come from outer space. They were chosen and supported by many Venezuelans. Its time for them to pay for their choices.
They purport to be "For The People", so lets see how they treat & report on the "rebels".
Whatever improvements post WWII governments were able to make in Latin America invariably led to explosive population growth in the lower classes. These groups tend to be much less European in racial composition than the small middle and upper classes, which traditionally ran these places, and which do not increase their numbers very much.
Venezuela is a perfect case in point. The have-nots are much browner ... even blacker ... than the haves. There's no welfare, no EBT, no Obamaphones or AFDC. They are ripe for government handouts and for demagoguery. In fact, racism is a definite part of the Cuban government under Fidel and Raúl. The whiter upper and middle classes having been exiled, Cuba is now an Afro-Latin country.
"get Whitey's Stuff," is just as workable a mantra in Latin America as in North America.
The same could be said for the USA and 0bama.
Do you feel the same about the USA - that "it's time for us to pay for our choices"? I don't. Chavez was *elected* in even shadier conditions than 0 was.
Oh, and I'm glad the Brits didn't feel that way about Germany, in 1939.

Venezualans now have to wait in line for toilet paper, rice and beans. Their misery will be their own. If they decide to invade another country, then that's a different question.
