In the wake of the largest Gaza rocket attack on Israel since late 2012, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman criticized former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's 2005 disengagement from Gaza, in which Israel relinquished control of that territory to the Palestinian Authority before it was eventually seized by the terrorist group Hamas.
About 10,000 Jewish Israelis had to relocate from their homes in Gaza. In addition to Hamas, several smaller Islamist terror groups are present in Gaza today, including Islamic Jihad, which is responsible for the latest rocket barrage.
“Sooner or later we will have to take control of Gaza, in order to get rid of the Hamas regime,” Steinitz said. “We do not need to reoccupy it permanently, but we do need to remove from Gaza the option of firing rockets on us. If and when the moment comes when we must retake Gaza—and that moment is coming soon—the operation will have to be a very quick one,” he said.
Lieberman criticized the view by the former Sharon government that the Israel Defense Forces could always respond to any hostility emanating from Gaza. "We cannot allow the areas that Israel evacuated to be used for terror attacks on us," said Lieberman. "The only solution is a reversal of the process, a retaking of Gaza."
Steinitz argued that a takeover of Gaza could be temporary. “We retook areas like Jenin, Tulkarem, and Hevron temporarily, but we did not remain there,” Steinitz said. “We went in, got rid of the terrorists, and left. And now that area is more or less quiet. The only reason we were able to stop the suicide bombing attacks of the second intifada was that we went in and halted the terror, and this what we are going to have to do in Gaza,” the minister said, Israel National News reported.
Israel is under vicious attack and not a whisper of it on ABCCBSCNNMSNBCNBC or Fox.
He is complete 100% correct. The only way to win the war is by taking it to their door on the ground.
They would send the Pallies a detailed grid map of Gaza and the West Bank marked off and numbered in acre sized units. A rocket launched which caused little or no damage would be worth an acre. Minor damage might be worth two. Major damage might be worth four. Injuries would be worth eight and every fatality would be worth 16 acres.
Then, every time the aforementioned actions incurred, the Israelis would annex the appropriate number of acres in numerical order and move the Pallies out. Rinse and repeat.
Maybe by the time they were all squatting on a barge anchored off the beach, they'd get the idea. Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Israel really needs to take off the kid gloves when dealing with terrorists. After elimination of the immediate threats, they need to make sure no new kids are taught to adhere to the muslim madness.
Perhaps the recently captured rockets should be returned, one at a time.
Or perhaps a battery of artillery should be set up and walk a path of craters from the Israel border to the sea. Any one killed is at fault for not leaving.
If rockets continue, walk another crater path then another and another until the rockets stop or Gaza is gone.
Isreal needs to go “Putin” on Gaza.

What should be interesting is how Obama/The Dems/The Media/The World treat Israel retaking the Gaza Strip versus how they treat Russia’s taking Crimea.
You can bet that silence will end the instant Israel chucks their first grenade into Gaza.
Good idea. Two stipulations: 1) The location of the acres to be annexed will not be made known in advance (surprise!) and 2) No guarantees the acreage to be annexed will be contiguous (so sorry, old chap, if I have to climb over what's left of your house to get to our new property).
The Gaza should never have been given ‘away’. Another progressive, stupid idea forced upon the Israelis.
Israel should not announce their intentions, they should just do it before the rocketeers can move.
They must smite the jihadists wherever they are to be found. If they are in tunnels, napalm needs to be stuffed down there..
They need to take Gaza back and keep it this time. Tell Barky and Lurch to sit down and STFU!
