Big business takes on tea party over Common Core
Politico ^ | March 14, 2014 | Stephanie Simon

Tea party activists have been waging war for months against the Common Core academic standards. Now, in a coordinated show of muscle, Big Business is fighting back — and notching wins. The urgent effort stems from a sense among supporters that this is a make-or-break moment for the Common Core, which is under siege all over the country. A coalition including the Business Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will launch a national advertising blitz Sunday targeted at Republicans skeptical about the standards. Spots promoting the Common Core will air on Fox News and other conservative outlets.

The reasons are complex, but big business interests certainly are the driving force behind Common Core. You might find interesting my short column here:

“Now, in a coordinated show of muscle, Big Business is fighting back...”

Pure, unadulterated propaganda from the Nazis at Politico. What will it take to ban the Nazis at Politico from FR? We don’t allow Stormfront on FR, and Politico is no different than Stormfront.

Ban these Nazis now!

From George Carlin:

“There’s a reason that education sucks, and it’s the same reason it will never ever ever be fixed. It’s never going to get any better, don’t look for it. Be happy with what you’ve got. Because the owners of this country don’t want that. I’m talking about the real owners now, the big, wealthy, business interests that control all things and make the big decisions. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want; they want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But I’ll tell you what they don’t want—they don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interest.”

I have no idea what it is. That’s why I asked for a definition.

Well, for starters, without even looking into the actual content of the curriculum, Common Core is abhorrent just based on the fact that it is a national curriculum imposed on the states by the Soros Administration. This is a clear violation of states’ rights; educational standards should be developed at the local level, and the federal government does not have the legislative authority to override that.

The actual curriculum was developed by a progressive “non-profit” organization called Achieve, Incorporated, and is full of rewrites of history that indoctrinate students.

There are quite a few blog posts here:
