Threats to CT Police Escalate Following CT Cop’s Gun Confiscation Comments–Cops Ask Pro-Gun

There have been reports that Navy veteran John Cinque has been receiving threats because of his stance on the issue of Connecticut's gun registration law. Apparently those reports are due to a misreading of a piece by the New Haven Register in which Cinque said, "There have been threats made — that I found out about today." Freedom Outpost reached out to John Cinque, who spoke with us this morning and confirmed that the threats he was speaking about were towards the Branford Police, not towards him.

"The cops are having the threats…. they are scared," he told us.

According to Cinque, Officer Joseph Peterson, who made comments in interaction on Facebook while off duty that he would "give my left nut to bang down your door and come for your gun…" has been placed on 24-hour guard due to threats on his life. This information came directly from Police Chief Kevin Halloran.

Mr. Cinque told us that he had a two and a half hour "sit down" with the Branford Police Department on Tuesday. He said that the Branford PD was supposed to come out with an apology for Peterson's comments and wanted Cinque's endorsement of the apology in an attempt to cool things down.

I’m so sure that that is the case.

But NH *does* have onerous property taxes [rivaling Fairfield county, CT]....that’s how they pay for stuff; there is no sales or income tax in NH.

Red Hampshire also fleeces you when you register your car, and the heavily-traveled portions of their interstates are TOLL. They get you...one way or another.

He ought to be afraid. Instead of his left nut, he could
lose both.

If those guarding him have guns, why? Why on earth would they need guns?

The answer might be telling.

Who are they kidding? The threats of violence are the only thing that will force the socialists to back down from their attacks on the Constitution.

And New Hampshire is supposed to be the most `redneck’ state in New England? Geez!

The reg is not *that* bad.....and there are no property taxes on your vehicle, or sales tax on it when you buy it.

[Be glad you are not in CT]

During a criminal trial, the government side (both judge and prosecution) don’t hesitate to remind the jurors of the oath that they were forced to affirm to. Informing the jury pool of their rights and responsibilities as jurors, including the right to vote to acquit for any reason they see fit, is a fitting activity for those who love liberty and are living under such tyranny as we now have in CT.

That said, it is also appropriate for lovers of liberty to take every opportunity to remind law enforcement officers that the oath they took was to the Constitution itself and not to the fantasy version that their boss insists is in effect at any one moment. We also can remind an officer of his obligation to resign should he ever be order to violate the Constitution as he reads it.

When juries refused to convict people of violating the Fugitive Slave Act, government stopped attempting to enforce the law.

If Americans are too cowardly to speak up for their rights they do not deserve them. If millions of Americans do speak up it is guaranteed that they will prevent the need for a worse outcome.

If you let your elected officials and public servants know exactly what you want and expect, they will respect you and our Constitution. If you as sheep say nothing the inevitable push-snap back that comes is something we do not want as a nation. We need responsive govt of and for the people, not anarchy.

Given Peterson’s comments, shouldn’t We the People be put on 24 hour guard against the jack-booted thug who uttered the threat?

*********************************

How about a mutual-response pact with six of your very best, well-armed friends?

The Redcoats kick in your door and you make one quick phone call. Your friends (let us call them Minutemen) arrive shortly to assist in protecting your rights.

Sound like an idea?

They get you...one way or another.

Should read, ‘over and over’ or maybe ‘again and again.

“This is all a Liberal plan, and if we fall for it, we are the idiots. The cops don’t want trouble with us (barring a couple of idiots that even fellow cops hate), and we don’t want trouble with the cops. The Liberals, by contrast, want us all to shoot it out. They hate the cops and they hate us. If we fight it out, Liberals laugh.”

So if your thesis is true, the cops and the gun owners should show up at the legislators homes and kick in their doors! I just imagine that there are some cops who actually support the 2A. Showing the legislators “the error of their ways” would be a wonderful sight to behold.

“The cops are having the threats…. they are scared,” he told us. Then leave well enough alone. Pursue real criminals and avoid threatening gun owners and there won’t be trouble. It’s not a difficult concept, here.

These days, when cops say they are scared, they are preconditioning for more shooting of civilians who pose no threat.

THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS should be the prime targets, and be made aware that they are. Find out where they live and work, their travel habits, their recreation, and be ready to terminate their ability to send the jackboots out to assault us.

GOVERNMENTS SHOULD BE AFRAID OF THEIR PEOPLE

They are; that’s why they want to DISARM US!
