I just don’t see why hijackers would have taken the plane just to crash it in the Indian Ocean..they had every opportunity to crash it into the China Sea..what is so special about the Indian Ocean that they had to crash it there, for what, so that it would never be found and to torture these families even more. I dont buy it

Well, they probably wanted to go to a place that required them to cross the Indian Ocean ( Mogadishu?), however, they overestimated the amount of fuel the plane had to get there.
The plane then, unfortunately crashed because it did not have enough fuel to get to its intended destination.

.Why indeed. Perhaps the investigators are asking themselves the same question. The answer — or non-answer —might be important.
I found a report on a 777 aborting a takeoff because of a failed RollsRoyce engine fan blade. Had this happened midair, the flight would have gone down eventually, one would think. Perhaps something like this cut off other essential parts of the plane like oxygen, while still flying. Which leads back to the decompression theory many tech-savvy posters have discussed here.

Freepers might want to tune into both Fox and CNN, to hear whats up!!
The entire thing is senseless. If it was a pilot suicide, you take it down during the flight route. If it is a terrorist attack to kill all on board they would announce it to the world. Either scenario, there is no reason to turn communications and systems off.
