The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has generated dozens of theories on where it is now, from the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea, and how it vanished. Here’s a rundown of what we know and what we don’t, along with clues and theories about what happened to the Boeing 777 jetliner:
THE WHERE:
— LAST CONTACT: Flight MH370 last communicated with air traffic control on March 8 east of Malaysia, and that area of the South China Sea between Malaysia and Vietnam initially was the focus of the search.

In the OP there is mention of an unusual seismic event. I wonder if the “bomb” had already been loaded along with a bunch of fuel and there was a premature detonation on crash or attempted landing.
Portable runway set up?
Fuel and maint. crew pre-positioned?
This could get quite ugly.
The plane ended up on the island with all of the Beatles, including the original Paul who was replaced by the one we see now. He survived the 1960s car crash. Also on the island are JFK, Marylin, Jim Morrison, Andy Kaufman, Jimi, Lady Di, and the guy who played Pepino on the early TV series “The Real McCoys” just to name a few. That last one was an admin error.
Still don’t see how it could not be an accident.
My guess...It was hijacked by Chinese muslim separatists from Xinjiang. The plane was intended to be flown to and landed there. Did it get there?
The Chinese air force may have shot it down - saved themselves the need to negotiate. Something the Chinese might not want to admit to.
Consequently, they offered bogus satellite shots to keep the search focused near Malaysia - and away from China.
Not if it made it to Iran.
I don’t think they can hide it forever. Why steal a plane and then risk having virtually everyone in the world intensely looking for it? Doesn’t make much sense to me.
It’s also a very complex operation to steal a 777. “They” now say the plane flew another SEVEN hours after the initial “disappearance”. That’s 8+ hours of flight time.......Why is this info trickling out by the day? Surely most of this was known within hours. Maybe there are/were negotiations to gain KSM’s release. Maybe the captives are alive, maybe not. With the plane obviously under controlled flight, I doubt they took the southern route being talked about now and crashed into the Indian Ocean. I’m thinking it’s in one of the ‘stans in a hanger and will be used for some major malfeasance. With ID beacons disabled, I bet all radar in that part of the world is being watched very carefully..........at least by the good guys.

Somehow I missed the part about what they were carrying. This corresponds with my theory that if this IS a hijacking, the hijackers were either very lucky or they spent a lot of time planning a sophisticated event. And if they are sophisticated, then they knew the 777 has issues with being susceptible to cyber-attack. This makes me wonder just how accurate all those “pings” are— the pings that people are using as solid proof of the jet’s projected path. Anything on that plane that is controlled by computer would be theirs to control.
Once the jet’s computer system is taken over, the attacker would pretty much own the system, so to speak. If sophisticated hackers can take over an entire company’s computer network and stay virtualized and undetected for years, which I know they can, then the cyber-takeover of one jet seems like a piece of cake.
Just my 2 cents.
If that plane managed to land somewhere, and the location was identified, it could never leave again without everyone in the entire world knowing about it.

This one isn’t the same article that I saw a FReeper link a few days ago, but the subject matter is the same: the .gov involvement in the computer vulnerability that is unique to the 777 planes.

I wish I had bookmarked the other one someone posted the other day. It went into more detail and was written well before this event.
We know the flight and headed SW.
We know the engine communications were lost, as if someone turned them off.
So, after the last radar track, the last engine/com ping, you are now untrackable. Do you continue to fly on the same SW heading ?
No, you make another turn. Towards the North on a NW heading.
This path takes you right over that island and it has an airport. A ‘secluded’ airport.
If they wanted to ‘get lost’ and then land before they could be tracked again, that is where they would go.
Look it up on Google Maps. Compare it to their known path, and add the ‘turn’ after the comm loss.
I think it would be wise to consider it, and yet nowhere have I read about anyone having checked it. Maybe ‘checking’ it is not (politically) easy.
If they could land there, they could easily have ‘not been noticed’ and hid the aircraft quickly.
After all, the entire world was searching in the complete opposite direction.
