You’ve confirmed you’ve been here that whole period, yet you still apparently don’t “get it.” What I see here, from you, and a few others, is complete contentment with the party establishment running frauds and liars (and incompetent ones at that). You then follow it up by attacking those who refuse to support said frauds and liars in a general election. Where are your Conservative principles, sir ? Or have you forgotten what website you are on ?

Here in Seattle, we have the Alaskan Way Viaduct, shown with traffic driving along the incredible views of the city of Seattle, Elliott Bay, the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. That is being torn down and replaced with a tunnel, shown in the below drawing. If you look closely at the Viaduct, it has three lanes of traffic as opposed to the tunnel's two lanes each way. The new freeway will be inside a 57.5-foot (17.5 m) diameter tunnel. With problems with the Big Bertha boring machine, this project is expected to exceed its estimated cost of $4.25 billion.

Presently, Big Bertha has a seal problem for its main bearing. They will have to dig a shaft down to the front of the machine, cut out enough area to get to it's main bearing seals, Use a crane to lift and detach its 630-ton cutter head, and see if they can find the problem and fix it. The problem may go back to the time Big Bertha was first tested in Japan by its manufacturer. During its first test, parts of the machine weren’t moving properly and caused “some metal-on-metal contact and basically damaged the seal assembly for the main bearing. This problem was supposed to be fixed. However, that may not be true after inspection of the seal assembly.

Big Bertha has suffered a previous delay when it suffered damage hitting a large pipe in December. Such delays are costing money and lawsuits are beginning to develop.

My question has always been, why didn't they fix what needed to be fixed on the existing Viaduct? It would have been cheaper with more lanes and an incredible view.

The answer, sorry to say, is that the highway construction unions have a hold on our DemonRAT politicians by the short hairs. Any expensive construction projects are Santa Clause money under the tree and into the union campaign war chest to elect more DemonRATs.

Confiscation of Retirement Accounts

So, what happens if you’re not willing to invest in Obama’s MyRa? How does the government get the funding it needs to continue financing and growing the debt? The answer: FORCE you to make your retirement funds accessible to the government.

If you do some research on US Bill “HB5337,” you will find the plan to nationalize retirement wealth. On May 6, 2012 Lauren Schmitz, a research analyst at the Bernard L Schwartz Center for Economic Analyst (SCEPA), introduced HB5337. This 401(k)/IRA de-privatization is the brainchild of Teresa Ghilarducci, whom through funding from the White House and the Ford & Rockefeller Foundations engineered a new “Regulatory & Tax Incentive.” The purpose is to force Americans to convert their Retirement Accounts into Government Managed accounts.

The government will nationalize retirement accounts like IRAs, 401Ks, pensions, 403Bs, etc. so that you will be forced to use a portion of your retirement wealth to purchase U.S. government debt – debt that will ultimately default, as it is not possible to sustain our astronomical debt nor the deficits that create it.

This plan to nationalize private 401K and IRA retirement accounts is being deceptively publicized as the government protecting the public against business failings or state bankruptcies. But the reality is, your cash, your retirement funds, your bank deposits and your investments are at huge risk of being confiscated by the government through some contrived reason or another.

It only makes sense to Marxists to take a freeway from 3 lanes and lower it to 2. They want you out of your car and into their rail boondoggles.

Nonresponsive - no surprise.

Your comments make no sense and attitude helps no one.

Yes - the goal is to force people not to be able to drive, proving their methods are not exactly comfortable or preferable to the people.

Too bad...she came across as pretty credible in the video (a credit to the production company, though).

What I said is that the message does matter, why go out and vote for pale imitations of the democrats?

From the distance of New Mexico I see a lot of her stuff on Facebook and yes, the impression is she is squishy.

Too bad, it would be nice to see Merkley go and here we have another big gov leftist authoritarian (who would love nothing more than to have me mention his name) who deserves to be shown the door. But alas, our respective urban centers will probably re-elect them.

So, my money goes to the more likely turnovers in red states, going big for 51 with a little side bet on 61. (I got their AstroTurf right here).

Now, I have lost track - is Kitz up this year? Who is in the game? We at least have incumbency with Martinez but IMO her record hasn't been terribly impressive.
