BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – An Alabama police chief is under fire from a prominent atheist activist organization for conducting prayer walks in his city as a way to fight crime.
The Madison, Wisconsin-based Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) recently sent a letter to Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper to assert that his actions are unconstitutional and offensive to non-Christians.
Roper, an ordained minister, is involved with the initiative Prayer Force United, a coalition between the chief, area churches and local residents to host monthly prayer walks and faith-based gatherings in areas of Birmingham that are most affected by crime.
“We understand that a police cruiser leads these prayer walks with lights flashing, followed by a truck with a sound system that ‘cranks up some gospel music,’” the letter from FFRF outlined. “At the end, a ‘worship team [is] going full bore, just praising Jesus.’ Then the ‘local pastor introduces the police chief,’ and you then give a sermon invoking Jesus several times.”

Prayer walks to combat atheists?
That’s because in reality (Christian) religious black people have more in common with us than their usual allies on the socialist/left-wing side of the political spectrum.
Atheists aren’t real good advocates for Freedom of Expression. They are just bullies.

Why do states and municipalities even bother responding to these groups? Just ignore the calls, letters, summonses and lawsuits. If judges give them summary judgments, ignore them. Refuse them and don’t pay any fines or legal fees. Have Gov. Bentley order his agencies to ignore the rulings and refuse to enforce them. Show these groups and their selected leftist judges just how little power they have — if we assert ours.
I agree. Best way to deal with bullies is to ignore them. Or beat the crap out of them.
All of a sudden some high visibility black police chiefs are doing some really good work in really tough cities. Chief Roper is one and the other is Detroit’s chief who’s standing up for all law abiding citizen’s Second Amendment rights. More power to them all. Let’s see some white big city police chiefs follow their lead.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I’m leaning that way myself.:)
Or sue them into extinction for infringing on our 1st amendment rights.
Who will be the first to file countersuits against these trouble makers for seeking to restrict the free expression of religion?
I don’t know why no one has done that yet.
