If the Malaysian government is covering for these pilots this story is just a red herring to distract everyone from the truth.
Yeah notice its coming from a Malaysian paper..could be the Govt putting this out to make the pilot look like a rogue pilot..still doesn’t explain even with all this where the darn plane is
I have all kinds of problems with this speculative yellow journalism. In particular their classifying “the country’s opposition leader” as a radical homosexual. He was possibly those things, tho the sex stuff might have been trumped up by political enemies. But wikipedia says, in a long l article:

After a long and distinguished career, he just doesn’t look like the kind of radical political operative that inspires murder and mayhem amongst his followers. He looks, in fact, like someone FReepers might vote for. No Bailouts was discussed here for a long time, And some of us were passionate about it.
Sooo, it occurs to me that Zaharie might be made to look like the culprit by inference in state controlled media because of his “politics,” but someone else hijacked the plane. Perhaps there was an al Qaeda pilot in first class, perhaps the copilot did it. Perhaps the Malaysians shot it down when it doubled back into their country and are trying to cover their tracks. I don’t know whether they are that corrupt, but I don’t trust anything they say.
And yes, Zaharie is not beyond suspicion. Maybe he did it. But I’m not ready to tar and feather him yet.

I talked with someone yesterday while shopping. Our discussion was of the missing flight MH370. Comment made to me was, *I don’t care as long as they keep it over there,* then followed by the comment of, *The aircraft being extended range though there is no guarantee it will be kept over there.* We did not discuss zer0 due to the brief discussion. If I had to or was forced to bet on zer0 knowing anything about anything I’d rather take a nap to gain coherency and get my mind right. If was told to take a bullet for zer0, I’d be looking for a way to step out of the line of fire. Of course at this time, I would be looking to do the same for most all those in D.C. in this the present. I wish no harm to any of them in D.C. but don’t ask me to take a bullet for most of them, please.
I am terrified for the passengers. Wondering why the cell ph companies aren’t able to see if the phones are still working. If they are at the bottom of the ocean, I doubt they could get a working signal or any GPS info.
Full agreement Cowgirl. Have been praying all the passengers are safe. I know the cell companies know something from early on but am doubtful there are pings from those cells that are on going. Most of the cells would have gone down within two days is my best estimate. Much maybe is know and maybe much is not known or both are true. Prayers continuing.
It sure looks to be that way.
It’s worth noting that they are a traditional “face” culture as well. Truth and reality often get shoved aside if avoiding losing face is involved. Lots of face loss potential in many areas of Malaysian society (civil aviation, internal security, military, politicians) here.
