On the surface, it appeared that a major New York hospital had gratefully accepted a $100 million gift from a philanthropic family with a long history of donating to the arts, higher learning and medicine.

But the new wing at New York-Presbyterian Hospital inspired a bizarre protest last weekend by activist groups including the NAACP New York State Conference, the New York State Nurses’ Association and the hospital-employee union SEIU Local 1199.

The Lunatic Left on parade. In a sane world, nobody would vote for these people. Ever.

I recommend that the leftists demand that the hospital return the donation. Come on lefty loons — put up or shut up.

Soros is considered to be an economic terrorist by Malaysia. The left love their terrorists.

I hope they cause them to have his gift canceled. That way it can go into politics and getting our people elected.

Where is Soros and the other progressives saying that they will make up the 100 million if the hospital returns it.

The Koch brothers have given hundreds of millions to charity, yet they remain the left’s boogeymen. Name a leftist who has given money to a real charity, not just a leftist pressure group.

Many years ago, the actress Helen Hayes donated money to open an AIDS wing in a New York hospital. Helen Hayes was also very much pro-life. Would her donation be protested today because of her pro life views, at the expense of AIDS patients?

I would imagine it would depend in large measure upon her recent voting record. If she voted far enough to the Left, the Left might “forgive” the “transgression” of having been Pro Life.

Lunatics. Absolute lunatics.
