We had a relative who was a life-long member of the Carpenter’s Union. On a visit, to his widow I had a chance to read the union’s monthly “news magazine.”
This union is outright Communist! The spew and hatred for business and democracy is outrageous. No wonder these people have no trouble busting heads to get their way. If I had grown up reading their stuff I’d be a Communist too!
At his funeral, as we were lowering the casket into the grave, one of his union buddies opined that “XX hated Republicans,” to which my wife replied, “well I’m a Republican and he loved me.”
My son is about a 10 year member of the Carpenters Union. He bought into all the BS the first couple of years and then changed his tune completely. I didn’t have to tell him, “I told you so”. He’s never brought up the topic of unions since.
