It’s been called a Xanatos Gambit. When a situation is created where the villain has a positive outcome no matter the action.

If Putin was in any way desiring to be the good guy he’d have left Crimea alone and been the moral clarion to Ukrainians to avoid Soros or the IMF. Now they have to embrace these vultures or get consumed by a Russian imperialism.

Soros has set up a Xanatos Gambit where he wins no matter the outcome in this game.

Unless we refuse to play it his way or at all.
