As I suspected, the suit was probably a fixed setup to take down a threat to the Republican Establishment's preferred candidate. It seemed at the very moment that Brannon tied or exceeded Tillis against Hagan, this lawsuit popped up.

Just as at the very moment Matt Bevin, tied or surpassed McConnell against Grimes, his TARP signature came out.

And last week, as Ben Sasse rose to the top in Nebraska, stories started to come out saying Sasse "aided in implementing Obamacare"

In my view, it's a nefarious plot to discourage us, to get us scared of "another Akin" etc, and throw our support behind the "safe, established candidate"

It hasn't worked, however. Brannon is still strong, Mike Lee endorsed him AFTER the jury verdict, he's tied with Tillis and there's likely to be a runoff in NC.

Brannon for Senate!!

The mainstream media and the liberal ruling elite ALWAYS tell you who they fear.

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.

I see the prince of the gOpE, TokyoRove, fingerprints all over this defaming of a solid conservative candidate.

I wish people would stop using the terms liberal and progressive, and call them what they really are “fascists”, “socialists” or even “fascist socialists”.

Oh the other term I dislike is “low information voter”, Rush does truth a great disservice creating new terms to call socialists/fascists in America.

The GOPe of NC are probably wanting to field a candidate that will make “inroads” with democrats, will be everybody’s friend, and won’t scare voters from the RTP & Charlotte areas(a double losing strategy in a midterm election). For midterm elections, a candidate needs to be nominated that will motivate and turn out the base. Not some spineless moderate. That goes for nearly all states and districts.(especially Congressional districts)

As always, a moderate tries their best to make everyone like them, and inevitably ends up being loved by no one. Perfect examples would be Bush 41, Bush 43, and McCain 2008. I’d add Romney to this list, but he was neither loved or liked by much anyone.
