Fashion designer L'Wren Scott was found dead today in her Manhattan apartment of an apparent suicide, according to New York police. She was 47 years old.
According to authorities, police were called to her Chelsea apartment at 10:05 a.m. and found her body. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Scott was a renowned stylist and fashion designer whose clothes have been worn by A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz. In February, she announced that she had canceled her London Fashion Week show.

Well, I think the whole "lack of pulse / rigor mortis" issue adjusts my evaluation….
But of course, the whole situation is a shame - I hope Miss Scott finds peace, even in the midst of the great and horrible mistake she apparently made. Prayers out.

It gets attention because it’s a window into the less-than-perfect world of the beautiful people. Usually their wealthy, glamorous, supposedly idyllic lives appear to operate outside of natural law, exempt from ordinary people’s troubles.
