The fact that there was no distress call, demand for ransom or any group claiming responsibility for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has given hope that the plane could be found.
"There is still hope for MH370 since there was no distress call, ransom or any group claiming responsibility," said Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein at a press briefing on the search for the missing aircraft here on Monday.
The search and rescue multi-national operations involving 26 countries have begun, focusing in the so-called southern corridor, involving the Royal Malaysian Navy and the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
Australia and Indonesia have also agreed to lead the search in the two sectors of the 'southern corridor' in their respective regions.
In the last 24 hours, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had spoken to his counterpart from Australia and the Premier of China.
In response, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the country stood by Malaysia at this very difficult time and would be pleased to take on additional responsibilities.
Vietnam Ambassador to Malaysia, Nguyen Hong Thao said his government was committed to continue the co-operation with Malaysia in the search operation.
Flight MH370, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew, disappeared about an hour after leaving the KL International Airport at 12.41am on March 8. It was scheduled to arrive in Beijing at 6.30am on the same day.
The plane had deviated from its original path and Malaysian authorities believed the plane could have taken one of the two flight corridors, which was a northern corridor stretching approximately from the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to northern Thailand, or a southern corridor stretching approximately from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean.
Entering the 10th day, the fate of the passengers on the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft is unknown as the multi-national search for the aircraft has drawn a blank so far.
Following the incident, Hishammuddin, who is also the Defence Minister, pledged to review the nation's radar system after the search and rescue operation for the plane was completed.
Yeah, it will be found.

The lack of claim for ransome is likely a result of lack of survivors from the 45,000 ft. airborne roller coaster ride.
I would think that a claim for ransom would be more reassuring that the passengers are alive than the lack of same(?)
Various reports I have read today indicate that the US has deployed carrier battle groups (as in plural), CIA assets, and SEAL teams in this search. But nobody has any idea what happened. Uh huh.
The trip to above 40000 feet more than likely did away with any worry about passenger interference. If no O2 at that level ,easily disarmed from the cockpit, you will pass out in mere seconds and die soon after. In the cockpit they have their own separate supply and better masks more suited to the pressure breathing needed at those more extreme altitudes. Then hurriedly back down to a lower altitude to pressurize the A/C and warm it back up (50 -60 below zero at 40000). Well planned and well executed and I think we will find out who and why in the not too distant future. And then all the pundits will say.....UNEXPECTED!!! or on CNN “Bush’s Fault!”
If this was an “accident” then I would search to the south. But if this is intentional - then I would be looking north.

Explains the value of the elaborate flight simulator at the pilot’s home.
I believe this was a well planned, well executed venture by muslims bent on terrorism and the full implications are far from being understood at this time.
This pilot obviously was acquainted with all of the radar and aviation security measures to be encountered within the range of the aircraft and would have been able to practice evasion tactics and develop a workable flight plan on his home flight simulator.
So if some moment, any moment, you hear the sound of jet engines flying atop the overcast, engines that sound searching and lost...

EMP is an electromagnet pulse weapon. The wave travels line of sight. This means that at sea level it could only effect a target up to the horizon, which would be approximately 20 miles on flat terrain.
At 37,000 feet which is the altitude of a jet liner, the horizon is roughly 250 miles away.
You couldn’t take out a territory the US without being at space shuttle altitudes (1,000,000 feet).
Also, the pulse goes down in amplitude with the square of the distance. You would need a relatively large nuclear explosion even at air liner altitudes, and thermonuclear one in space.
There are only a few countries that have this capability, and none are Islamic. Russia yes, China maybe, and Israel a long shot...

An airline pilot told me a few years back that even with an oxygen mask (the one that “doesn’t inflate and drop down”), it is enough to keep you alive not conscious.
I tend to think the plane ran into China’s newly created exclusion zone and offed the plane.
As for no Islamic countries with EMP capacity...

To me, it seems much more likely that the pilot who was upset with the government simply “lost it” and took over the plane, probably planning to use it against the Malaysian government somehow, i.e., crashing it in Malaysia.
This is consistent with the plane being turned around right after he took control, the climb to high altitude to disable the passengers, and even the last flight track which centers on Malaysia. He could have been had second thoughts after whatever he did to the passengers and crew and finished up with a suicide crash in the ocean.
If so, it would be likely that they’ll find the remains of the plane relatively close to Malaysia. He was apparently upset with the government, and I suspect he lost it, then didn’t follow through on his original intention to crash the plane back in Malaysia. There would be no purpose to his flying a course that took him farther and farther from the country he was angry with.
Of course it’s been found.
It’s just not being disclosed.

Faith, no. Technical appreciation, yes. After all, I'm saying they know where it is an they're not telling us. And I have faith that they won't be telling us until they figure out what such a disclosure can do for them.

Of course they do... you can build a small one in your garage. But one big enough to do any serious damage at any distance would require a huge release of energy.
For example: In the united states there are approximately 20 lighting strikes per square mile per year. The average power of each one is .007 Kilo-tones of TNT. That’s 14,000 pounds of TNT for each one. On the average each one would be within 2250 feet of your house.
Remember that I said that the pulse dissipates with the square of the distance? The inverse square law applies. So if your equipment can absorb a hit 20 times a year 1/2 mile from your house from lightning (which is almost pure EMP), imagine how much power it would take to disrupt your equipment from 10 miles away, or 100 miles? Do the math and you get 70 kilo-tones at 100 miles just to equal a lightning strike a mile away.
