So .... what media player are we supposed to use to play .MP4 files?

Is this another "go out and buy Windows 8" gimmick? The Win XP version of Media Player hasn't the right codecs.

Either Gom player or the VLC player works in place of media player.

VLC Media Player works fine for me, when it comes to MP4 files, and it’s freeware, too.
