NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- State police are searching for an unlikely suspect in a western Pennsylvania hit-and-run accident: the driver of an Amish buggy.

Troopers from the Mercer barracks say the buggy twice hit a passenger vehicle at a crossroads on Route 158 in Wilmington Township, about 6 p.m. Sunday.

The buggy then left the scene and its driver has yet to be identified.

Police say the victim is a woman who owns a Honda CRV, a crossover vehicle that was struck on its left side.

Nobody was hurt in the crash.

Well..at least he’s got a little gap to peep through.

Hubby used to build stuff like that.

The measure of his success was how hard the thing pinned you to your seat, helpless to move, when it took off.

This is a ready made script for a Will Farrell movie as an Amish buggy driver on the lam for a hit and run.

No, I am not sure at all.

The psycho horse was just one of many potentially lethal things they gave me to play with.

I would imagine that factored into my decision to train my first man-stopper Dobe at 14, using a book I got from the library.

;D

It has its benefits.

Every time he gets bored and tinkers with my Harley, I shave a little more off my 1/4 mile.

:)

The psycho horse was just one of many potentially lethal things they gave me to play with.

At the time, I had the feeling my folks were, at best, indifferent to us kids , it didn't matter what we did as long we didn't destroy the farm equipment, harass the livestock or burn down the barns....And me and my older brother could beat each other's brains in as long as we didn't do it in the house or near enough for mom hear our yelling as we attempted it.

We had a 500+acre farm and we could've done anything from falling off the roof of barns(which we did), drown in any of the stock ponds(which we nearly did in winter "skating" on one.) or playing with snakes, not a good idea.

Just as long as we got all our homework or chores done before we did it.

p.s. we had an quarterhorse but she was well behaved and only once did she roll over in one of the deeper stock ponds with us still in the saddle.

But, in her defense it was because it was a very hot day and after a very long ride...
