Only if you ascribe to the definition of left vs. right as continuously pushed by leftists. I prefer the alternative view of the political spectrum more appropriate to America and its competing ideologies than the old euro-centric perspective, wherein left is totalitarianism/statism/big-government/collectivist and right is freedom/individualist/small-government/small-l-libertarianism/anarchy. In that case, communism and fascism are both hard left ideologies.
