Fishermen from this village believe they may have seen the missing Malaysia Airlines flight on the night it disappeared flying low over the Gulf of Thailand.
It's not clear whether what they saw was flight MH370 or whether it is the latest in a string of false leads in the search for the missing plane, but if true it would suggest that the plane may have flown low to avoid radar, what is known as "terrain masking."
On March 8 flight MH370 disappeared from radar as it flew north over the Gulf of Thailand towards Vietnam en route to Beijing. Investigators believe it made a sharp turn to the west about the time it vanished from radar and lost contact with air traffic controllers.

It is unclear whether the plane the fishermen saw was the missing flight, but investigators have chased other tips that turned out to be false leads including an oil rig worker who saw something fall into the Gulf of Thailand that night, oil slicks, reports of floating luggage and what was believed to be a plane’s upturned life raft. All have been investigated and determined to be bogus.
That plane has been EVERYWHERE!

According to NBC News, the programmed turn to the left was made at least 12 minutes BEFORE the Co-Pilot said “All Right Good Night” so there ya go

Did the Malaysian govt. accidentally shoot down an “unidentified” aircraft flying above (after their left turn) before knowing Flight 370 was missing?
the fisherman’s report came out early in the story, a few days after the plane was reported missing. Today’s news sounds like no one heard about it before.

At this point, ANYTHING is possible..but why would the plane intentionally fly in a different direction to begin with, this was all done BEFORE the Co-Pilot did his final sign off, so maybe it was the co-pilot who pulled the strings here, maybe Zaharie Shah was already dead

Maybe the fisherman in the Maldives can get together with the oil rig worker from the South China Sea and they can figure out how the plane could be in two places at the same time 1000 miles apart.
Never thought of that. It’s like a Jack-In-The-Box but more accurately a Terrorist-In-A-Box! Play the tune of the engines just right and what a surprise you get!

Stuff like that happens. I remember spotting the ill fated hijacked TWA727 over the French Riviera and finding it odd. Made it to a modified Chuck Norris movie.
