It is. I'm old and close to a large US city that has fallen to third world status.
Many Freepers are still having cognitive dissonance on some deeper level.
I know. I read a post the other day knocking Canada's record on free speech. As if free speech was still alive and well in the US.
The normalcy bias is so strong with Americans it is taking them a very long time to accept what is clearly playing out in their lifetimes.
The last 13 years, for you and I, have been a sea change. I remember when you drove to the airport, paid for your ticket in cash and WALKED ON THE AIRPLANE, just as an example.
The loss of personal liberty has been a slow but sure process. I doubt that people will wake up. I do not know how this will end.
