Sen. Rand Paul is set to offer a dark portrait of the intelligence community on Wednesday, raising the prospect of dystopian nightmares in a speech at the University of California-Berkeley. The Kentucky Republican, who is heavily weighing a 2016 presidential bid, is speaking at the historically liberal bastion at a time when he is seeking to broaden the GOP base. Rand Paul is about the only legislator that will even talk to the most important topic of the day. The police state. Its here its in charge and until we get rid of it nothing else matters.

Smart move. liberals and conservatives agree on this issue.
The way that the GOP has bought into the police state is disgusting.
It means that they’re liars and frauds on the civil liberties issue.
The GOP led by GW are the ones who created the Patriot Act and the TSA. They love the power as much as the Progs. Getting rid of this is going to be a real slog and I’m not sure it can be done at the ballot box.
