When was that? I don't recall hearing about George Washington's medical records when he ran, or Abraham Lincoln's. FDR's condition was kept secret, as was JFK's. As far as I can find, Reagan was the first candidate to release his medical records, when his age was made an issue. I'm not sure you can point to any Golden Age of American Freedom when this was an expected standard.

I’ve been saying this, too. Think alcohol first when someone has a “fall” and very few clarifying medical details are provided to the public.
