Irrepressible and a new father at age 86, having served time for extortion, former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards is seeking a comeback by running for an open seat in Congress.
Edwards has not lost a step. “I did not vote for Obama: Where I was there were no voting machines,” said the conservative Democrat, who was in federal prison at the time.
Edwards was accompanied by his 35-year-old third wife, Tina, and infant child. “There’s a guy in Florida 101 years old running, and by the time I am his age I’ll be in my seventh term,” said Edwards, who served in the House before four tumultuous terms in the statehouse.

“The Moon Griffon Show” is ablaze with the host and callers telling Edwards to get out, in order to save Louisiana the embarassment, and for the good of the country.
My own two thoughts are:
1. SURE! Let him run. Let him run till he falls, BEFORE the election.
2. If he falls AFTER the election, according to the IQ of those that will only remember his name on the ballot, what are the chances that THE MRS. EDWARDS takes his seat?
He is a criminal, deservant of no attention.

NawLins (New Orleans) was, from the beginning, a haven for pirates, smugglers, gun runners and lots of shady characters. The swamps were perfect hiding places for runaway slaves and criminals of all sorts. The ‘Cajuns’ are descendants of the French Acadians (hence the name) who were kicked out of Maritime Canada when the British took over and were shipped en masse to New Orleans.
Perhaps you have heard of “Mary Martha Corinne Morrison Claiborne Roberts (née Boggs)” AKA, Cokie Roberts of ABC News. Her daddy was Hale Boggs, who disappeared on a hunting trip to Alaska in late 1972. The plane was never found. He was the House Majority Leader and was scheduled to be the next Speaker of The House when he disappeared.....................
