One of my theories is that Barry was the child of Grandpa Dunham and one of the Indonesian Hookers that worked at the bar Grandpa took Barry to many years later.

She was flown back to Indonesia to have the baby, then Stanley Anne flew there, picked him up and brought him back to her Grandparents in Hawaii. This way the baby was 'in the family' and Stanley was still free to roam the globe.

Place of birth's a red herring. Citizenship is the key in the legitimacy argument ....... is he American or still Indonesian? I have never heard of any documentation that Stanley Ann "renaturalized" little Barry on their return from Jakarta, as the law required her to do, in order for the boy to reclaim his U.S. NBC status.
If he wasn't NBC in the first place, then that explains that.

I would say place of birth is not a/the red herring. It is the actual root of the key as you mentioned and postured. I take that Stanly Ann went to Kenya because of some circumstances to give birth and legitimacy and with her second marriage to Indonesian Soetero took young Obama to Indonesia where he was in school for a few years as a citizen. Things do matter after time. I look at the creation of the Federal Reserve and at the moment the fiasco of the Ukraine situation. I like the saying ‘actions have consequences’.
Still think the Indonesian passport is the smoking gun.
I have it that Stanley Ann was just a couple of months pregnant when she went to Kenya for birth. As such there were several months interval before birth in August. Not a serious handicap to flying for such a condition. Info is that flying back to the States was held up a few days right after birth in Kenya because authorities in Kenya did consider it to soon for the baby for air travel; as to the mother’s health I don’t recall any such information.
I've always though that his trip back to "take care" of granny was to tie up loose ends to support his story that he was born in Hawaii. I don't think he gave a damn about granny - she was after all, white.
It is regrettable as to the history of Obama and the Presidency of the USA that ‘Granny Toots’ is not alive to give probably and provably, except for Obama, the most accurate accounting of Obama’s up the ladder life.
