Before legalization, abortions were committed by licensed doctors in their own medical offices - they were done secretly after hours and for cash.

After legalization, the exact same doctors using the exact same tools did they exact same thing they did before - only now they could bill it during normal office hours.

Before Roe, abortion were committed in hospitals by licensed physicians under the medical code for "Diletation and curettage (D&C)."

D&C's were very common back then, not so much now.
