OK, so they won’t vacation in the US or Hawaii. BFD.
It’s so weak it’s not even symbolic—not that I think there’s much we should be doing at this point, anyway. It was stupid for NATO and the EU to keep expanding if it wasn’t serious about defending its newer members. It would have been better to have border states between East and West.
They don’t have any assets abroad and do not care about a visa ban.
Of course, really powerful people in Putin’s inner circle are not on the list. The people named do not really occupy sensitive decision-making posts among the Russian elite.

Yeah like the Russian elite has any assets abroad worth confiscating.

Why expect Obama administration foreign policy to be better than the pathetic domestic policy?
