Buying their ink cartridges sure makes me want to run right out and get one of these.

I thought I was on a 3Dee printer ping list, but can’t find it in my history.
The main limitation for me is the print envelope size. It’s a Prusa Mendel variant of the RepRap. But it is an interesting first step — and cheap enough to hobby on.

The first model will be named the ‘Carly’ - it will cost a fortune, fail to operate, and annoy its user base.

There are some 3d printers that scinter metal and then the form is baked. A gun was printed that way by an outfit in Texas who posted on youtube. I print in PLA and ABS — plastics melting around 200 Centigrade with no after print bake.

The printer driver will take five hours to install, take up half a terabyte of disc space, and will not work with any Windows version you happen to have......................

This is so the feds can require them to include micro printed identities on any printed gun parts.
