BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A proposal to add new regulations for abortion providers in Louisiana has received the unanimous support of the House health care committee.
The bill by Rep. Katrina Jackson, a Democrat from Monroe, would require doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. It's similar to a controversial restriction recently passed in Texas.

I am NOT pro-abortion in the least - I KNOW it’s taking a LIFE - no doubt about it.
However, when Dems are behind this kind of stuff, my FIRST thought is: They’re adding yet ANOTHER generation to the Welfare State and their voting coffers!

I cannot imagine this running into trouble in the Republican controlled Senate or from Republican Governor Bobby Jindal...
