One of the things to come out of Eric Holder Justice Dept Era is the need for the House to be able to appoint a Special Prosecutor on it’s own. I would hate to give this power to Nancy Pelosi’s House, but I think it is needed to give the minority power some control to at least get the other 3rd of the Government to mediate disputes.
Colonel Kratman talks about the power of the Pardon in one of his books as being extremely powerful in certain hands and I think the Democrats have showed that having your guy as AG is a great shield from misconduct.
Also, Lawyers and Judges have shown that they will not police their own.
