Things I don’t approve of concerning Obama: ...

10. Demonizing opposition.

Yet, your only response to anyone who looks at the situation in Russia objectively is, you guessed it, to demonize them in a painfully sophomoric fashion.

If the balloon goes up it will come this way.
1. A violent Pro=Russian demonstration will force Ukraine to act with force.
2. There will be a massive Cyber attack on Kiev—unlike anything the world has seen.
3. The power will be cut to Ukraine with an electro-magnetic pulse.
4. Putin will give a televised message from the Kremlin at the same time the Russian AF attacks what ever Ukraine has in the air and on the tarmac.
5. Then the tanks will roll in from several directions with close air support—even from Belirush—classic Nazi style Blitzkriege invastion.
6. War will be over in 6 days.

Good stuff.

Of course Putin knew...very early on. I remember him saying how foolish American people were for voting for Obama way back when he was building up to his win..... Makes me angry that a Russian Pres. could see Obama for what he is over Americans who refuse to see. Heck even Hitlary said Obama was too far left!

I think your comment about satan is closer to the truth then most would admit when it comes to the pace and push going on, not just here but worldwide.

Defend your postion and the topic instead of just posting slang and blather when any one chooses not to agree with your mindset. So far you are not convincing....

Simply broadcasting, without considering the present,is not enough...though useful in understanding "the times" it does nothing to enhance the current situation, nor the political grandstanding being played on the world stage overall by all players...Putin is not the only corrupt and vile individual pulling strings in this game....there are many others more than worth investigating and looking at their part....

“...When I was in Kiev in January, those I talked with thought the cold weather would terminate Maidan...”

Wow, you’ve really been there recently! Thank you for your comments.

There were lots of dramatic moments on the plaza from face-offs with police to the Klitschko brothers appearing before the crowd, and finally a newly freed Yulia Tymoshenko addressing the people. Meanwhile our Prez cancels military programs and plans his next set of vacations.

How is your family today? I know there are many people in Ukraine confused and more than concerned as they watch the EU drag their feet....I suspect that will continue for sometime. I think it's September when the EU Parliment meets and Ukraine will be at the for-front then....then they have to meet with Nato...before much gets really determined outside of meeting the immediate needs of the people.

Remember they asked the US for arms...Obama sent them MRI military meals.......a subtle message wouldn't you say?

There's a reason the Eu/Nato has determined not to move further with Ukraine as a member....Ukraine must first prove itself and this by the next Government. ...then they have to operate in such a way that the EU believes they can maintain stability. They will assist in this but they won't do it for them.

It's going to be a long haul back so your family needs to understand that..and then there may be no guarantees even then Nato will take them under their belt...and from the sounds of the Brussels meeting it doesn't sound like that's the plan going forward.

THE Eu has a reputation for promising much and delivering little by the standards and expectations nations assume when they go in....there is no free ride with them...especially since they are pretty much maxed financially helping nations who are “current” members of Eu/Nato....that point was raised at Brussels. Also, there's no telling if Putin won't go into Eastern and South Ukraine...he could and would surely justify that.....another reason the International community is waiting....

Our people in the Eastern Ukraine are fine but the hotel biz family in Crimea are in a difficult position without being able to access banking accounts. They also report that those leaving the Crimea on trains are stopped in rural areas and the contents of suitcases are thrown on the ground and gone through via armed men lacking insignia.

Of course they have disagreements with the EU’s approach to many things and one of those is the death penalty. My wife’s grandmother was murdered during a robbery and one of those convicted was released after six years from an eight-year sentence which is typical of Euro-weenie justice. The EU browbeats trade countries over their “enlightened” sense of trendy limp-wristed penalties.

Continuously spouting a defeatist, pro-Putin position regarding Ukraine is not objectivity. Most of these cranks who cheer for Putin never have a kind word for the long-suffering Ukrainians who are treated as fools for not having a military strong enough to defeat Putin.

Well, besides being for Putin and the reestablishment of his soviet empire, what is your position?

Putin and Obama are the prefect storm for extending Russian power, reestablishing the soviet empire, and destroying freedom and independence for nations all over the world. Putin’s even gotten people who probably were opposed to the soviet empire now cheering him as a master mind, the ultimate genius, and not a mere thug.

I understand Monday, (or was that last monday?) the banks will have changed over so they will have access to their funds.....it takes time for this transition to go through all banks there....though they may be limited what they can withdraw a day.

There are several separatist's ‘thug’ groups on the fringes of the cities East and South the closer one gets to Ukraine..and a Islamic Muslim interferferance which is among there as well. These groups know they can mask up and get military fatigues to "control" what they wish...some have already been brought into Kiev. But on the whole Kiev has yet to control the criminal element enough to bring stability, which is why ‘OSCE’ has just arrived in Ukraine...the final vote was Friday and they left right away so should be there soon if not already..over 100 of them to facilitate dialogue and determine who the ‘thugs’ are roaming about....they can bring in up to 400 if necessary...the mission is to get Ukraine's Gov./police force etc. on track to identify and control situations and happenings they currently can't or won't...and investigate other happenings among the criminal elements as well.

Not surprising this was delayed a week because Obama was insisting that Crimea be mandated along with Ukraine and this even after the Referendum to go with Russia...... Putin of course wanted no goupse in Russia/Crimea and was no reason for since Russia had now control there.(Obama was stupid to even demand this)... but Obam continued to press the issue with the EU for a week...... Putin had agreed to begin with OSCE going in, He's a member state amoing them....but without including Crimea..So once Eu determined Crimea would not be mandated or mentioned in the final document and agreement, (Constructive Ambiguity) it was full speed ahead........so Obama lost this one as well.

Keep in mind there were 56 or 57 nation representatives voting on this and the one holding it up was Obama.
