You can be sure if our gov knows where it it (I think they do) they would in no way let it be known right now. That is certain.

AND, you can be sure they won’t try to destroy it until they know the situation of the passengers. They are all probably dead - but the gov wouldn’t take a chance of harming them if there is any chance they are alive.

This will be kept in the dark probably for a long time.

But I’d put huge odds they do know exactly where it is. And they are letting the media play the idiots that they are for their max benefit.......

I don't claim to know what happened, but there is one thing that is suspicious above all else about this. And that is that governments are claiming to not know where it is. After 9/11, having two jets hijacked and bringing down buildings, and probably a trillion dollars being spent on security upgrades, one thing I can't believe is that thirteen years later these planes still don't have technology that can track them anywhere they are, since it isn't technically difficult, given a large and expensive jet.

They know where it is, this is just theater while they secure the plane.

When you say “our” government do mean the U.S? If so its not our responsibility. The majority of passengers are Chinese nationals and they are alot closer to Pakistan than we are.
