They are so busy with this while the entire continent is being overrun with people who could never care about their cultural rules.

That may be in French speaking Brussels and home of the EU. I didn’t find that to be the case in other areas of Belgium when I stay there for months at a time.
But you are right, their pacifism and political correctness will be the end of them. Antwerp had a Muslim mayor or council member who said his first allegiance is to Islam.
