According to a workbook handed out to seventh grade students at Grant Middle School in Springfield, Ill., the Second Amendment only allows people to own "certain" guns if they have been registered, Infowars reported Friday. The parent who discovered the material confirmed to Examiner.com the handout's existence and said the school is being "bombarded with messages" about the material.
"This amendment states that people have the right to certain weapons, providing that they register them and they have not been in prison,” the handout says.

The second sentence is accurate.
Its not enough to write the school.
We need to find out who produces it and bombard THEM. If they are sending it to this school system, they are sending it everywhere.

Sad, given how many wonderful Ameicans gave their lives to battle the noxious political philosophy and its proponents.
You wonder where this country is going and what its future will be. Let’s hope the kids get wise to how severely they’re being brainwashed.
Some day these little mush heads will grow up and vote on anti-gun initiatives, they may even become politicians or regulators.

I wonder if Common Core will teach how to compare and contrast the text of the 2nd Amendment with what this says about the 2nd Amendment.
Pretty basic stuff.
The second sentence is partially correct.
The reality is: Second Amendment protections were put in place so that citizens could shoot operatives of an oppressive government... not deer.
That is what needs to be said. That is the purpose of the second amendment, as well as to defend from foreign invaders.
To protect the United States from all enemies foreign AND domestic, and especially when that enemy is the government itself that no longer has the consent of the governed.
Sort of like where we are now.

Reaction? First I’ve heard of this was today here on FR. Not a single mention in local media. Am posting this article to the Illinois Oathkeepers FB page as I’ve not even seen it mentioned there. I’ve not heard of a popular groundswell uprising against this as there has been no news of it locally that I have heard or seen.
Reaction to the lack of reaction? Typical. Local media carries the water for all of Dems statewide and in particular those from The Kingdom of Chicago (our betters who rule us ignorant downstaters).
The first sentence is accurate too. In Illinois, you need to register so called assault weapons, you must have a FOID, and in the US, you must be licensed and register all automatic weapons. I am not saying this is within the bounds of the 2nd, but it is a modern day fact.
