Have you ever entered a group in a parade, of any kind? These info sessions aren’t sensitivity trainings, they are logistical sessions. Things like what time to line up, where to go to check in, etc. I’ve entered groups in many parades (I’ve been on the board of trustees at my synagogue for years, volunteered for many more before that), and these sorts of info sessions have been mandatory for just about every one).
