Is anyone sure this isn't about America?
Grenada did for while. Then there is the burning of the post office on union island.
> And oh by the way, this is where the 2016 Summer Olympics will be
Anyplace in Brazil is better than Chicago. I’ve been in both places, so I know.
> No Brasil eles falam Português, não Inglês.
Parece que voce fala o portugues, tambem, irmao.
O senhor e’ um brasileiro?
Actually our country did start out peacefully. At least in PA, where i grew up. Ridley Township PA was incorporated 1687 but had been populated since 1644. It was called amos land and there is a road by that name running thru it. William Penn paid the Indigenous population for the land and worked with them from the beginning of his tenure. It’s when the British started taking peoples stuff that the SHTF. kinda like today.
Heh, they speak, Paulista, Carioca and Bahiana in my experience. Very pronounced differences in accents, you can immediately tell the region unless it’s the interior, but then I didnt date anyone from the interior so I can’t speak for their accents.
Generally, the further South the more the Portuguese took on the linguistic characteristics of Spanish. Saudade for example, Saow-dah-zgee in the North became Saow-dah-dee in the South.
Carnaval was amazing. The Olympics will be the same with a lot more crime. Fun times, interesting mix of personalities. A lot of mistakes I’d happily repeat again if I was younger - lol!
Example of a fun mistake: piano bars in Rio. They don’t always have pianos. My mistake, but pretty hilarious and the extended story is fun to tell over a few beers.
No, I don’t speak it; just used Google Translate to be cute.
Did GT on your reply also although I could figure out parts of it.
Interesting. I had a friend who stayed and learned the ways and language as a Mormon Missionary.
Thanks, bfl.

Brazil...
Oh, where the nuts come from...
I hope you didn't think I was trying to hate on Australia. Keeping and Bearing Arms in the right of all.
It's just that Australia has it's share of Gun Grabbers just like we do. And they have been successful in both of our countries (more than what they should have at least).
