Lot of things got to go right for all that, but your right. If we send more Tea Party people to stir things up, maybe something can get fixed.
At least with the senate in the hands of the Republicans, Obama will be stopped.
We shall see....

“Those who actually read the page here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelley_Moore_Capito#Tenure

“Noticed that she opposed Obamacare, tried to protect coal industry jobs, voted for the Bush tax cuts, and opposed the greenhouse gas BS. But nice try.”

Come on, SunkenCiv, you know better than that. My comment was based upon your own link to the National Journal article, at your Post 16:

“In an interview with National Journal, Capito didn’t cast herself as conservative—she didn’t so much as utter the word—but instead said she is a “deal-maker” and “realist” in the mold of other moderate Republican women in the upper chamber. Among those she named as models was Sen. Lisa Murkowski—a woman who lost her party’s nomination to a tea-party challenger in 2010, and had to wage a write-in campaign to keep her seat.

“Capito even spoke about some of the benefits of Obamacare—a heresy for most Republicans. The Medicaid expansion has provided insurance for tens of thousands of the poorest West Virginians, and Capito said “coverage is great and having more people covered is excellent,” though she remains concerned about its long-term fiscal impact.”

I stand on my original comment, which is backed up by your own linked story.

IOW, she knows how to shmooze the press — if she were otherwise, all you’d do is condemn her as part of the stupid party. Get lost.

“Get lost.”

O.K., but no hard feeling from this quarter. I enjoy your posts on ancient peoples and cultures. We seem to differ over what the content of the National Journal article means. Maybe the reporter was twisting her words. I did not look up her Heritage congressional scorecard.

If I’m wrong about this, and Capito turns out to be a solid conservative, I will be glad to admit it and delighted to see another conservative added to the Senate.

We’ll just have to stay tuned.
